Pre-requisite

The successful completion of Agility 2: Contacts and Weaves

Class Overview

Handlers will continue working on skills from Agility 2: Contacts and Weaves. Handling skills, such as front crosses, rear crosses, blind crosses, and switches, will be continue to be practiced as handlers begin sequencing more obstacles. Teams will be introduced to all jumps, including wings, panel, as well as spread jumps. Handling skills needed to complete threadles, serpentines, pinwheels, boxwork, and obstacle discriminations will be introduced. Additional weave poles will be added as dogs become successful, until 12 weaves have been introduced.

 

Graduation

Dogs will be able to do short sequences of 6-8 obstacles and perform 6 weaves successfully 80% of the time. Dogs and handlers will have some understanding of discrimination.
